BEFORE THE DELIVERY

What type of wiring do I need?

A direct wired 40-amp GFI (ground fault interrupted) breaker circuit is required although the system will run on 30-amp GFI if needed. #8, 3 conductor wire should be required. Consult an electrician to verify this is within your local codes.

What do I need to do for a foundation?

The spa will ship with fixed joists measuring roughly 16” on center. A concrete pad is ideal, though, a level surface with a gravel base  and concrete pavers is sufficient. The area of this pad depends on the size of the tub. We do not recommend placing a tub directly on a deck without consulting a structural carpenter to make sure the deck is properly reinforced to withstand such a weight load

What are the dimensions of the equipment box?

The pump, heater, ionizer and filter are pre- assembled and wired as a unit. 39” length 24” width and 22” tall. This preassembly greatly reduces the amount of time a customer will spend on final hook up!

How is the Cedar tub Sanitized?

Follow the instructions for the ionizer included. With the ionizer dialed in, your spa water will be automatically sanitized up to 95%. All that's required is to toss in a small amount of Sodium Dichloride granular chlorine after a bathing session. Add only enough to bring the chlorine PPM up to about 2-3. This chlorine will further sanitize the water and be evaporated and undetectable by your next session. (A spa without an ionizer runs at a constant 8 PPM which would be harsh on skin and the lumber). Too much chlorine will bleach the lumber so always keep the PPM below 5.  pH level should be between 7.2 – 7.8 ppm.

How often should a hot tub be drained?

Most hot tubs require the water to be changed every 90 days.  This number of days vary based on how often you use your hot tub and how well you maintain, balance and sanitize your water.

How often should I clean my filter?

Cartridge hot tub filters should be thoroughly rinsed at least every 3 months.  Do not rinse or clean with high powered pressure washers as they can damage the filter.  To clean your filter properly, remove it from the housing and spray with a garden hose until clean. soak the filter in a 5 gallon bucket with 2 cups of distilled white vinegar for one hour. rice clean and replace into the housing. remember to leave the air bleed valve open when refilling to avoid air bubbles in the system.

How long will it take to heat my hot tub?

This depends on the volume of water being heated, and the power of the heater; the starting water temperature also plays a role. Typically, it takes less than 12 hours to bring the tub to full temperature with an electrical system and less than 3 hours with a wood burning stove.

Our processing time is between 2-4 weeks, and delivery usually takes between 1-2 weeks depending on your location. Most of our orders are shipping from Wheeling, Illinois. If you're local, your order could be with you in a mere few days!

Will I Be Charged State Sales Tax?

Good news! All our orders are exempt from sales tax, except for those being shipped to Wyoming. If applicable, tax will be automatically computed during the checkout process.
